The right company. The right way in.
For an investment team, identifying an interesting company is only the beginning. The next question is how to reach its leadership through someone who can make a credible introduction.
SUMA needed to weigh the relationships across its team, not just one person’s connections. Choosing an introducer also meant understanding the company and the people involved.
Put the team’s connections in view
Distill brought introduction paths across connected teammates into view. Zubby Achara, SUMA’s Partner and Head of Acquisitions, worked with his assistant to export those paths into the team’s existing company-research database.
CEO Naseem Saloojee could then consider the available routes alongside the research and choose whom to approach. Distill supplied the relationship map; SUMA brought the judgment about which connection to use.
The personal requests stayed personal. The team chose how to ask and drafted its own messages, drawing on context about relationships that a profile alone could not capture.

From introduction paths to conversations
SUMA mapped introduction paths for its priority companies and assigned each one to Naseem or another teammate to pursue. Those paths led to conversations with leaders at the companies SUMA wanted to reach.
Relationships put to work.
Distill helped SUMA move beyond identifying companies to speaking with their leaders. By making introduction paths visible across the team, it gave SUMA a way to act on its research through relationships it already had.
