The right product needs the right introduction
Early outreach to commercial due diligence firms got people talking, but many conversations were about understanding AI rather than buying it. Workstation wanted to reach people already wrestling with the problem its platform solves.
As the team shifted toward intelligence and investigations, co-founder and CTO Steve Davis brought the relevant technical background. The opportunity was to put that experience in front of new contacts, not rely only on the team’s existing network.
Let the expert lead. Let Distill handle the outreach.
Distill found relevant contacts and handled LinkedIn and email outreach from Steve, putting his expertise in front of people working on intelligence and investigations.
Workstation stayed involved where its expertise mattered: shaping the audience, refining the message and taking over technical questions. Distill handled the prospecting workflow around those conversations.
Evelyn Cools, who worked with Workstation on its outreach, said the shift to Steve and the intelligence audience brought “way better results from Distill.”

Conversations with people who know the problem
The replies showed why the audience mattered. An Account Director for the intelligence community at a defense and security intelligence provider recognized the challenge of connecting information without adding to analysts’ workload, and offered to talk.
A senior intelligence and investigations director at a financial-data and risk-analytics company also spoke with Steve. Afterward, the prospect asked to see a full demo if Workstation could show what it did differently from other tools.
“The problem you’re describing is a very familiar one, and I’d be interested in hearing how you’re approaching it.”
New contacts. Partnership discussions. Demo interest.
Distill helped Workstation start conversations with people who understood the problem its product solves. Steve reported three good calls, including discussions about potential partnerships and introductions. A prospect also asked for a full demo if Workstation could show how its product differed from other tools.
